Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Telouet - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate
Our 4-day Marrakech to Fes adventure begins at 8:00 AM, as we cross the Tizi-n-Tichka pass to admire the High Atlas Mountains. We'll stop at Telouet Kasbah, situated in a small Berber village, once the stronghold of Thami El Glaoui. Next, we'll drive through the picturesque Ounila Valley, stretching between Telouet and Ait Benhaddou. After visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, we'll head to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa, where we'll spend the first night.
Day 2 : Ouarzazate - Dades Valley - Todra Gorges
On day two, we'll journey from Ouarzazate to Todra Gorges via the Dades Valley, taking in the unique rock formations known as "monkey toes." We'll then leave the Dades Valley and continue towards Tinghir and the Todra Valley, passing through mud Berber villages. Upon reaching Todra Gorge, we'll stroll beneath the 300-meter-high red cliffs, a favorite spot for rock climbers. Dinner and the second night's stay will be in a kasbah hotel.
Day 3 : Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Dunes (Erg Chebbi)
After breakfast, we'll drive through the Atlas Mountains towards the towns of Tinjedad and Erfoud, famous for their fossil craftsmen. Lunch will be enjoyed in Erfoud before visiting the captivating Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Here, you'll be presented with a desert scarf and ride camels to a Berber Sahara Desert camp. The evening will be filled with music around the campfire, and you'll spend the night under the stars in a traditional Berber nomad tent.
Day 4 : Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes
On the final day, we'll enjoy breakfast and return to the hotel by camel for a quick shower. Then, we'll continue our journey to the imperial city of Fes. Along the way, we'll stop at the beautiful Ziz Valley, followed by a lunch break in Midelt, nestled within the High Atlas Mountains. We'll also visit Azrou and the cedar forests of Ifrane, home to friendly monkeys, before arriving in Fes, concluding our 4-day Marrakech to Fes trip.
